All Purpose Orderly - Kununurra
Location: Kununurra, WA | Classification: HSW Level 3-4 (Casual Role)
Commence Mid November  2026 - To Mid January 2027 (Possible extensions)
 
Make a practical difference to patient care in the East Kimberley.
 
We are seeking a reliable, adaptable All Purpose Orderly to support the team at Kununurra Health Service. This varied role combines cleaning, patient assistance, transport and general safety duties to help keep the hospital running smoothly.
 
About the role
Working alongside nursing staff and the wider hospital team, you will:

• Clean hospital departments, including clinical areas, in accordance with infection control standards.
• Assist nursing staff with lifting, turning and bathing patients, using lifting equipment as required.
• Transport patients by wheelchair, trolley, bed or vehicle.
• Drive patients, staff and supplies, and help keep vehicles clean and fueled.
• Support hospital safety and security, including after-hours duties and team responses to incidents.
• Assist with mortuary duties, including preparing deceased persons for viewing and maintaining the mortuary.
• Replenish linen supplies and assist with moving furniture.

 
About you
You will bring:

• The ability to complete work efficiently, independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution.
• The ability to develop a sound understanding of infection control standards.
• A commitment to customer service, quality and continuous improvement.
• A current C Class driver's licence.

 
Experience working in a cross-cultural environment is desirable, along with knowledge of equal opportunity, disability services and workplace health and safety.
 
Appointment requirements
Appointment is subject to identity verification, criminal record screening, a pre-employment health assessment, a WA Health integrity check, a Working with Children Check and evidence of the required driver's licence.
