Indigenous Managed Services (IMS) is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Road Maintenance Worker for an opportunity with one of our major clients based in Bunbury.

This is a hands-on role working as part of a road maintenance crew carrying out general maintenance and repair works across the local road network.

The Role
Duties will include:

• General road maintenance and repair works
• Pothole patching and minor pavement repairs
• Road shoulder and verge maintenance
• Drainage, culvert and table drain maintenance
• Installation and maintenance of guideposts, signs and roadside infrastructure
• Traffic control and spotting duties as required
• General labouring, shovelling and manual handling
• Loading, unloading and transporting materials and equipment
• Operating HR vehicles as required
• Assisting plant operators and other crew members
• Conducting vehicle and equipment pre-start inspections
• Setting up and maintaining safe work areas
• Completing Take 5s, JHAs and relevant safety documentation
• Following all WHS, environmental and traffic management procedures

  
Essential Requirements
To be considered, you must have:

• Current WA HR Driver's Licence
• White Card
• Current National Police Clearance
• Physically fit and able to pass a pre-employment medical
• Previous civil construction, road maintenance or similar outdoor labouring experience
• Ability to undertake physically demanding duties
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to work effectively as part of a crew
• Reliable transport and ability to work locally in the Bunbury area

  
Previous experience operating rollers, loaders, skid steers, water carts or other civil plant will be highly regarded.
