We are seeking an experienced Despatch Operator to join a high-performing team at a major chemical manufacturing facility in Kwinana. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety-focused operator with experience in manufacturing, mining, logistics or hazardous chemical environments who enjoys working in a hands-on, team-oriented role.

Working within the Sodium Cyanide operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe packaging, storage, loading and despatch of products while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and environmental compliance.

About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

• Safely package and prepare sodium cyanide products for transport.
• Load liquid sodium cyanide into approved transport vessels and isotainers.
• Load and unload trucks, containers and transport equipment.
• Operate automated packaging, conveying and despatch systems.
• Operate forklifts and other mobile plant safely and efficiently.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and basic operator maintenance.
• Complete Dangerous Goods documentation and despatch paperwork.
• Verify product quantities, batch numbers and customer orders.
• Carry out inventory and stock control activities.
• Perform housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Identify hazards and report equipment defects.
• Follow Permit to Work, Isolation (LOTO) and site safety procedures.
• Participate in emergency response activities and safety initiatives.
• Work closely with production, maintenance and logistics teams to ensure efficient operations.

About You
To be successful you will ideally have:

• Current High Risk Forklift (LF) Licence.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Full Australian working rights
• White card
• Experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, mining, logistics or industrial operations.
• Experience operating forklifts and mobile plant.
• Strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Ability to follow detailed operating procedures and work instructions.
• Good computer and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to work rotating shifts if required.
