We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Drill Fitter to join the maintenance team at Gudai-Darri (GDI) Rio Tinto, one of the Pilbara's premier mining operations. Role Details:
�� Site: Gudai-Darri (Rio Tinto)
✈️ FIFO ex Perth (Thursday flights)
�� Immediate start through to November 2026, with the possibility of an extension (paternity leave cover)
�� Roster: 8:6 Day Shift / 7:7 Night Shift
�� Rates:
Level 4 – $86.41/hr – based on experience
Level 5 – $90.89/hr – based on experience
To be considered, you must have:
Trade Certificate III in Heavy Diesel Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
Minimum 4–5 years' experience working on CAT drill rigs
Proven experience on CAT MD6250 and MD6310 drills (essential)
Current Manual C Class Driver's Licence
Key responsibilities include:
Maintenance, repairs and fault finding on CAT drill rigs
Changing feed cylinders
Removing and installing booms
Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance
Working safely within Rio Tinto procedures and site standards
