Indigenous Managed Services is recruiting an Aboriginal Procurement Officer on behalf of our client. This role supports Aboriginal procurement initiatives and reconciliation commitments by strengthening engagement with Aboriginal businesses and embedding social procurement priorities into procurement practices.

About the role This position supports the coordination and delivery of Aboriginal procurement initiatives aligned with organisational procurement strategy and Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) commitments.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and Aboriginal suppliers, you will help ensure procurement activities deliver meaningful social and economic outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of Aboriginal procurement initiatives and RAP actions
• Maintain procurement records, reporting data, and internal resources
• Assist Aboriginal businesses to navigate procurement processes
• Build relationships with Aboriginal suppliers and stakeholders
• Support reconciliation initiatives, cultural learning, and engagement activities
• Collaborate with procurement teams and contract owners

About you

You will have experience in procurement coordination, Aboriginal engagement, project support, or community engagement, along with:

• Experience working with Aboriginal organisations, businesses, or stakeholders
• Understanding of procurement processes (RFQs, tenders, contract administration)
• Knowledge of RAPs, social procurement, or Aboriginal affairs initiatives
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Cultural competency and understanding of Aboriginal protocols in WA
• Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Teams)

Relevant qualifications in business, procurement, or contracting are desirable.
