About the Role 

• Location: FIFO from Perth to Pilbara 
• Roster: 2/1 and 8/6
• Rate: $87.50  - $90.00 per hour flat + Super on all hours 
• Start Date: ASAP – Long Term Opportunities
• Clients: Rio Tinto, FMG, Roy Hill

Due to continued demand across key client operations in the Pilbara, we are currently sourcing skilled workshop and field sercice Auto Electricians for FIFO opportunities supporting major surface mining clients.
   
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy mobile equipment including trucks, loaders, graders, and drill rigs.
• Troubleshoot and rectify faults in advanced automotive electrical systems (alternators, starter motors, lighting, communications, control modules).
• Conduct scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance in line with OEM specs and site requirements.
• Install and test electrical systems such as air conditioning, lighting upgrades, collision avoidance, and communications equipment.
• Operate diagnostic software (CAT ET, SIS, Cummins INSITE) to efficiently resolve issues.
• Record and update work activities using site-based CMMS such as SAP or Pronto.
• Work collaboratively with mechanical teams and supervisors to align electrical maintenance within broader work scopes.
• Comply with all site safety requirements including Take 5s, JHAs, and toolbox meetings.
• Ensure adherence to mining and electrical safety regulations and support ongoing improvement initiatives.

About You:

• Recognised trade qualification as an Auto Electrician
• Demonstrated experience with heavy mobile plant in a mining or resources environment
• High level diagnostic and fault-finding ability
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and maintenance systems
• Strong commitment to safety and team collaboration
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
• Current valid Driver’s Licence
