Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Health, Safety & Emergency Services (HSES) Advisor to support our Sustaining Capital Division in Cape Lambert. In this key role, you will provide expert HSES support through collaboration, coaching, and strong stakeholder partnerships to help achieve a physically and mentally safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Champion and deliver the annual HSES plan and safety maturity initiatives across Sustaining Capital.
• Partner with internal teams and contract partners to proactively manage key health and safety risks.
• Support and coach on incident investigations and risk assessments to align with HSEQ standards.
• Facilitate critical Health, Safety, and Emergency Services programs and initiatives such as:
  
  • Pre-Start Meetings / Safe Shift Starts
  • Quality Safety Interactions (QSI)
  • Critical Risk Management (CRM)
  • Leadership in Field (LiF) programs
• Promote Rio Tinto’s core values: Care, Courage, and Curiosity, leading by example in health and safety.

�� Systems & Tools You'll Use:

• HSEQ Management Systems: RTIO HSEQ, Enablon, Prospect (RTBS), ChemAlert
• Risk Tools: L2RA, CRM, SWP, JHA, Take 5
• Data & Analysis: Power BI, Databank, IVMS / MixTelematics, DSS Monitoring System
• Productivity & Reporting Tools: Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio), SafeDay App

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in a Health and Safety role, preferably within the mining or heavy industry sector.
• Strong knowledge of incident management, safety coaching, and critical risk management.
• Ability to build trust and influence a broad range of stakeholders, including contractors.
• Familiarity with Rio Tinto’s HSEQ systems is highly regarded but not essential.
