About the Role:
- Location: Operations Centre, Perth Airport Area WA
- Roster: Monday to Friday (5:2), onsite initially with future WFH flexibility
- Duration: 12-month contracts with possibility for extension
- Start Date: ASAP

Due to our continued success in delivering diverse, skilled, and qualified candidates, we have opportunities for a Planner / Schedulers to join our client's team in Perth - Rio Tinto Operations Centre.
As a
Planner, you’ll be responsible for developing executable maintenance work orders that align with asset strategies, business plans, and operational priorities.
As a
Scheduler, you'll build detailed weekly and shutdown schedules that ensure seamless coordination of labour, materials, and equipment resources.
We are recruiting for three experience levels across both roles:
- Level 1: 0–3 years of experience
- Level 2: 4–6 years of experience
- Level 3: 7+ years of experience
Candidates can apply for Planner, Scheduler, or a combined role, depending on their experience and skill set.
Key requirements of the role: - Previous experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or asset management (experience level will determine placement).
- Familiarity with scheduling systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP).
- Strong Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Planners: - Review and prioritise work notifications; detail and assign resource requirements.
- Estimate labour and downtime needs, and initiate warranty/repairable processes.
- Analyse historical maintenance data and adjust tactics to improve outcomes.
- Consolidate work into executable packages and engage contractors where needed.
- Monitor budgets and escalate major variances between plan and actual.
Schedulers: - Develop executable maintenance schedules for weekly and shutdown activities.
- Coordinate labour, materials, and equipment availability.
- Identify critical path and resource constraints, and liaise with teams to resolve.
- Update stakeholders and business systems on scheduling exceptions.
- Re-schedule uncompleted tasks and ensure timely closeout of contractor activities.
