Our client:
Our client is a non-profit broadcast television channel that provides digital broadcasting services to produce programs and advertising content for businesses. As a broadcast television channel, it airs programs with educational, multicultural, inspiring, and entertaining content. Our client’s services assist companies in marketing themselves on broadcast television and provide them with a copy of the edited asset for their business use. Additionally, it includes health promotion and health provision for the Australian community.
Position Overview:
We seek a Digital Content Producer to join our creative team. You will be taking a leadership position in crafting compelling and top-tier visual content for our various brands. Notably, you will be responsible for leading the content production of our community video channel. Your role will entail taking the forefront in generating exceptionally captivating content spanning various topics.
You will be an imaginative individual with an innate talent for storytelling. You will be capable of using diverse platforms to engage, captivate, and motivate audiences. You will spearhead key projects that align with our overarching content strategy. Prior experience crafting video content for social platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram is essential.
You'd be great for this role if you're a natural storyteller who can captivate an audience with your storytelling and story-making abilities. You must love sharing, talking, and building connections with people and our target communities. You must also be familiar with the ins and outs of video creation, have excellent communication and presentation skills, and have a passion for performing and being in front of the camera.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Your versatility will be your strength as a content creator. You'll be equally comfortable working in the field or within the confines of the studio. Your capabilities will extend to project management, overseeing freelancers and client interactions.
A background in journalism and content creation, as well as hands-on experience in media production, will be greatly appreciated in this role.
- Conceptualized and produced video content for a variety of platforms.
- Research, write, and present compelling content for our website, social media platforms, newsletters, and other communication channels.
- Write compelling scripts that meet guidelines and target audience needs.
- Incorporate creativity into every aspect of the content production process, from ideation to execution, ensuring the final output is engaging and unique.
- You will be responsible for visiting different communities, establishments, and organizations and creating exciting and informative videos or stories about them.
- Passion for performing and being in front of the camera.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices and recommend new and innovative ways to approach video production.
Your typical week will include but not be limited to: - Planning and Research: Research current trends, news, stories and topics relevant to brand and communities
- Content Ideation: Brainstorm new content ideas based on your research.
- Presenting: Present your content and perform in front of the camera.
- Scheduling and Publishing: Schedule the content for release.
- Networking and Collaboration: Reach out to potential collaborators, partners and individuals. Networking is crucial in content creation and can lead to more story opportunities.
About you: - Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Film, Video Production, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in digital content production.
- Strong understanding of video production, including scripting, shooting, editing, and post-production.
- Solid understanding of content production process and delivery.
- Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Photoshop & Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid, and After Effects for motion graphics.
- Understanding of live studio production and workflow
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Selection Criteria: To be considered for this position, you’ll need: - Proven experience writing stories.
- Experience in Journalism
- Quality communication and written skills
- Ability to work to exact deadlines.
- Highly Motivated
- Have an understanding of Broadcast Law Guidelines
