Provide critical support to men who are engaged in family court proceedings and are impacted by Family Violence
About Relationships Australia
Relationships Australia NSW (RANSW) provides a safe, judgement-free environment where individuals, couples and families can address the critical matters impacting their relationships, and their lives.
What you’ll do
As part of the Men's Family Advocacy and Support Service (FASS), you will play a crucial role in supporting men affected by family violence or facing allegations. You'll provide compassionate psychosocial, emotional, and practical support, ensuring that they receive the assistance they need to navigate the family law system effectively. FASS offers non-judgmental, drop-in, or short-term support to address social welfare needs, while Legal Aid lawyers handle legal matters.
You will conduct thorough needs and risk assessments, guiding men to essential support services and helping them find their way through the complexities of the legal system. Your services will primarily be delivered in-person at the Parramatta Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA), with occasional telehealth support as needed.
