What you'll do:  
  
You'll deliver Relationship Education Group Work Programs predominantly for parents and families with Korean backgrounds. Your lived experience or experience working with Korean communities and diverse perspective will influence our program design and delivery to resonate more closely with the communities we serve. You’ll:  

• Apply person centred, trauma informed, practice and strength-based approach to working with parents and families  
• Understand the key issues for parents and and children  with multicultural backgrounds  
• Assess and refer clients to relevant services according to client identified need  

The details:  

• Casual role 
• Approx $48-53 per hour (depending on skills and experience) + 30% casual loading + 12% superannuation
• Available to work during the day to facilitate two groups per week (four hours each), initially at Hornsby and West Ryde.
• Available to facilitate an online parenting group one evening per week.
• Available to commence in School Term 3.

What you'll bring  

• Bilingual speaking - fluent in English and Korean languages is highly desirable  
• Relevant qualifications in counselling, psychology, social work, health promotion, adult education, community welfare or similar field including group work training  
• Minimum 2 years’ experience delivering group-based education and support programs for parents and families
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Korean is preferred
• Cultural experience and understanding in working with vulnerable individuals, families, children and young people
