What you’ll do:
As the Senior Community Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in strengthening community connections and supporting positive outcomes for children, families, and local communities across the Northern Sydney district.

You’ll coordinate the community sector work in the Community Builders Program, lead community engagement initiatives, and collaborate closely with practitioners and partner organisations to deliver meaningful, trauma‑informed services. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on collaboration, strategic thinking, and driving community‑led change. You’ll:

• Coordinate and grow community programs that foster belonging, participation, and wellbeing
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners and government agencies
• Lead and support Relationship Educators and Community and Family Support (CAFS) practitioners in delivering high‑quality programs
• Use data, feedback and evaluation processes to drive continuous improvement
• Contribute to the design of new initiatives that respond to emerging community needs

The details:

• Full time role, 5 days a week
• 12-month maximum term contract with the potential for extension
• Travel in the Northern Sydney region required

What you’ll bring:

• Formal graduate qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or other relevant fields
• 5 years + experience in Community Development/ Child and Family Services funded work
• Skilled facilitator with experience delivering professional development training
• Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, with the ability to build trust and collaborate across diverse community settings
• Cultural experience delivering and coordinating in‑language and culturally appropriate programs (highly desirable)
• A valid NSW Class C drivers’ licence and ownership of a comprehensively insured motor vehicle is essential
