About the role As our Group Facilitator, you’ll co-facilitate the ‘Taking Responsibility’ group within our accredited Men’s Behaviour Change (MBC) program, working with male users of violence.
This role is pivotal in creating a safe, therapeutic group environment that promotes accountability and positive behavioural change for men who have used violence in their relationships.
In this role, you will:
Facilitate group sessions using invitational and accountability-based approaches
Assess and respond to risks for victim-survivors and children, ensuring cultural safety and compliance with best practice standards
Collaborate with co-facilitators and the Family Safety team to deliver interventions that foster respectful relationships and reduce harm
The details:
Part time, 4 days a week (some evening work required)
Maximum term contract – 6 months
Blacktown office

What you’ll bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related discipline
Post-graduate training in counselling, trauma, group work, or MBC practice (desirable)
Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting families impacted by domestic and family violence, including group facilitation or MBC programs
Experience in providing clinical supervision with 5+ years senior casework experience (desirable)
Strong understanding of MBC principles, trauma-informed care, and the gendered nature of violence
Ability to assess and manage risk for victim-survivors and children
