About the role
The Head of Risk & Governance is key to RANSW’s organisational integrity, risk maturity and governance culture. Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Services—while working closely with the CEO, Executive, Board and Sub-Committees —you’ll provide trusted, high -quality advice that supports safe, effective and compliant service delivery.
This is a role for someone who is as comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on operational execution. You’ll lead and coordinate the organisation’s governance, enterprise risk, compliance, privacy and internal audit functions, overseeing the day-to-day operation of corporate quality, risk and audit systems. This includes implementing and maintaining RANSW’s Risk Management Framework and related organisational processes.
As RANSW’s Privacy Officer, you’ll manage privacy compliance, incidents and corrective actions to safeguard client and organisational information, maintaining strong oversight of our data protection and privacy practices.
Working across all levels of the organisation, you’ll collaborate with leaders and staff to strengthen governance capability, foster accountability, and embed continuous improvement. You’ll also oversee the Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring strategic and divisional projects are well governed, documented and delivered in alignment with organisational standards.
This is a unique opportunity for a governance and risk professional who enjoys balancing big picture thinking with practical, detailed execution, and who can engage confidently with senior stakeholders, including directly presenting to the Executive and Board.
