About the role  
As our Therapeutic Caseworker – Intake and Assessment, you’ll be the first point of contact for men referred to the Men's Behaviour Change Program (MBCP.)

You’ll provide trauma-informed intake and assessment, triaging clients into appropriate programs across multiple sites. When MBCP isn’t suitable, you’ll offer brief intervention casework, information, and referrals to ensure clients are supported. You’ll:

• Conduct initial assessments and determine program suitability
• Engage clients using motivational interviewing and narrative practices
• Identify and respond to risk factors and readiness for change
• Provide short-term support and referrals to alternative services

The details:   

• Full time, 5 days a week
• Maximum term contract – 8 months
• Location: Hunter, Blacktown, Sydney or Remote
• $48 - $54 per hour (depending on skills & experience) +12% super + 17.5% leave loading and tax-free salary packaging up to $15,900. (Increase your take home pay. Calculate Your Savings at https://www.salary.com.au/calculate-your-savings)   

What you’ll bring: 

• Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience in intake, assessment, and risk management, particularly with male users of violence
• Demonstrated understanding of working within a trauma-informed framework
• Excellent communication with a commitment to accurate documentation and record keeping
