About the role  
As our Group Facilitator, you’ll co-facilitate the ‘Taking Responsibility’ group within our accredited Men’s Behaviour Change (MBC) program. This role is pivotal in creating a safe, therapeutic group environment that promotes accountability and positive behavioural change for men who have used violence in their relationships. You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team, applying a trauma-informed, person-centred approach to support change while prioritising the safety of women and children.

In this role, you will:

• Facilitate group sessions using invitational and accountability-based approaches
• Assess and respond to risks for victim-survivors and children, ensuring cultural safety and compliance with best practice standards
• Collaborate with co-facilitators and the Family Safety team to deliver interventions that foster respectful relationships and reduce harm

The details:   

• Part time, 4 days a week (some evening work required)
• Maximum term contract – 6 months
• Blacktown and Sydney City location
• $48 - $55 per hour(depending on skills & experience) +12% super + 17.5% leave loading and tax-free salary packaging up to $15,900. (Increase your take home pay. Calculate Your Savings at https://www.salary.com.au/calculate-your-savings)   

What you’ll bring: 

• Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related discipline
• Post-graduate training in counselling, trauma, group work, or MBC practice (desirable)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting families impacted by domestic and family violence, including group facilitation or MBC programs
• Experience in providing clinical supervision & senior casework (desirable)
• Strong understanding of MBC principles, trauma-informed care, and the gendered nature of violence
• Ability to assess and manage risk for victim-survivors and children
