Relationships Australia NSW (RANSW) provides a safe, judgement-free environment where individuals, couples and families can address the critical matters impacting their relationships, and their lives.
This role is based at the brand-new Medicare Mental Health Centre (MMHC) in Campbelltown, part of a national network of free, walk-in mental health services designed for people needing immediate, responsive, and accessible care.
What you’ll do
You’ll deliver high-quality, trauma-informed counselling to couples, families, and individuals navigating a range of challenges that impact their relationships. You'll help support clients through conflict, communication difficulties, mental health concerns, domestic and family violence, substance use, and child protection issues.
Drawing on a Family Systems Framework, you’ll take a holistic approach to client care, offering therapeutic support alongside mental health assessments, case coordination, and tailored referrals to help each client feel heard, supported, and empowered.
What you'll bring
- A strong understanding of mental health, domestic and family violence, child protection, and addiction
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology or equivalent
- Post-grad qualifications or training in Counselling or Couple and Family Therapy
- Registration or eligibility for registration with AHPRA, AASW, PACFA, or ACA
- A warm, compassionate approach and a commitment to culturally safe practice
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience working with couples and families using a robust Family Systems clinical framework
The details - 3 or 4 days per week, based in Campbelltown
- Part-time contract from the 1.09.25 - 30.06.26 with potential for extension
- Standard hours - 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, except Tuesday & Thursdays (11:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- $48 - $54 per hour (depending on skills & experience) + 11.5% super, 17.5% leave loading and tax-free salary packaging up to $15,900 and $2,650 pa for meal and entertainment (Increase your take home pay! Calculate Your Savings at https://www.salary.com.au/calculate-your-savings)
