About the role 
As the Senior Accounts Officer, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable function, ensuring the efficient payment of invoices and claims, maintaining accurate ledgers, and owning the reconciliation process. You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial transactions, and in turn, influencing the quality of decisions made across the organisation. You'll:  

• Drive the efficiency and accuracy of the accounts payable and receivable processes 
• Own the reconciliation process, including credit cards and monthly accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations 
• Work closely with a variety of stakeholders across the organisation to expedite processing of invoices  
• Drive adherence to policies and procedures and help build financial acumen across the organisation  
• Respond to internal and external queries regarding payments, credit cards, and receivables
• Support finance transformation projects, including system improvements and automation

What you’ll bring:    

• Strong experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable, including volume processing and reconciliations 
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to correcting errors or discrepancies 
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders from admin teams to senior leaders 
• Familiarity with accounting systems (Microsoft Business Central experience ideal, but not essential) 
• The ability to manage your time effectively and prioritise competing demands 
• A desire to improve processes and contribute to finance system enhancements 
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting, Finance or similar field and/or relevant work experience
