My client a thriving, medium sized accountancy practice based in Malahide is currently seeking a Tax Technician to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1 to 3 years' practice experience who enjoys working in tax and wants to develop their career within a supportive and professional practice environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and filing of accurate and timely Income Tax Returns
• Preparation of Capital Gains Tax and Capital Acquisitions Tax returns
• Completion of Corporation Tax returns
• Assisting with VAT returns where required
• Researching technical tax queries for senior team members
• Supporting the wider accounts and audit team with tax related queries
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients and providing a high level of service

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• 1 to 3 years' experience working in an accountancy practice
• Experience preparing tax returns
• Strong working knowledge of ROS and Tax Pro
• Knowledge of VAT legislation would be advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and technical standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The role is based in a modern office in Malahide, Co. Dublin, offering a professional and welcoming working environment.

Working Hours

• Standard hours: 9.00am to 5.30pm
• Flexible working arrangements available
• This role can be worked on a 4 day or 5 day week.
