My client, a thriving SME based in North Dublin, is seeking a Bookkeeper/Accounting Technician for a 12-month maternity contract.
Working as part of a small, collaborative team, you will be responsible for providing bookkeeping and accounts administration support across three separate business entities.
The position involves working closely with another accounting team member and a fantastic wider team, in a modern office space that places a strong emphasis on wellbeing and productivity.
Duties will include:
• Accurate data entry of purchases and sales
• Reconciliation of bank accounts, debtors, and creditors
• Monthly invoicing
• Tracking and reporting of expenditure
• Management of team expenses
• Preparation of full accounts to trial balance stage
• Assisting the accountant with month-end and year-end reporting
• Preparation of financial information for management review
• Submission of VAT Returns, PAYE and RCT
• Ad hoc administrative tasks as required
Requirements:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to take initiative and manage a busy office environment
• Ability to meet reporting deadlines with accuracy and efficiency
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience with IT systems, Microsoft Office, and Xero (preferable but not essential as training will be provided)
