Industrial Electricians

About the role:

Our client is Australia's leading integrated steel manufacturing & distribution business providing solutions for commercial and residential construction.
The site Maintenance team based in Geelong is on the lookout for experienced Electrical Tradespersons. We are also open to commercial electricians looking to move into an industrial tradesman position.  Permanent Night shift or Afternoon shift available. 

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Complete assigned repair and preventative maintenance work orders in a safe, timely and professional manner.
• Undertake fault finding and troubleshooting of electrical, electronics, instrumentation and communication equipment
• Maintain all work areas in a safe and tidy state.
• Fully support front-line problem-solving investigations and initiatives.

We are looking to speak to candidates with: 

• Electrical Trade qualification and currently hold electrical A grade license.
• Understanding of PLC programming and fault finding.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical breakdowns and determining root causes in a heavy industry manufacturing environment.
• Ability to apply sound judgement and manage competing deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and computer aptitude.
• Post trade accreditation (Cert IV) is highly regarded.
• EWP – advantageous.

Details Details: 

• One of these roles is Afternoon Shift (4pm – midnight), the other is Night Shift (midnight to 8am).
• Overtime is never guaranteed by is available regularly.
