Our client is a growing civil contractor specialising in sewer rehabilitation, confined space works, and high-risk infrastructure repairs. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality outcomes while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
They are currently seeking a Confined Space Labourer to join their team and assist in delivering critical underground infrastructure works across the Geelong and Barwon region.

About the role: 

This is a hands-on, physically demanding position working within a small, experienced crew (typically 2–3 people). You’ll be involved in a variety of specialised civil works, with strong on-the-job training and support provided.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with sewer maintenance hole (manhole) rehabilitation
• Carrying out concrete repairs and structural remediation
• Applying protective coatings and linings
• Supporting confined space entry and working in accordance with strict safety procedures
• Operating high-pressure water equipment for cleaning and surface preparation
• General labouring duties including site setup, pack-down, and material handling

Hours: 

• 7:00am – 3:30pm (30-minute lunch break)
• 36-hour paid week
• Rostered Day Off (RDO) every two weeks
• Occasional overtime as required

Essential:

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• High level of safety awareness
• Willingness to learn specialised skills
• Ability to perform demanding manual labour
• Construction Induction Card (White Card)

Highly Regarded (but not essential):

• Confined Space Entry certification
• Working at Heights certification
• MR or HR driver’s licence
• Previous civil, construction, or utilities experience
