Maintenance Fitter

Positions are based at Breakwater (depot) with plenty of onsite work mostly situated in Geelong & the Surf Coast.
Quality work environment and equipment.
Main tasks:
Mechanical maintenance, installation and upgrade works across sewer pump stations, water reclamation plants, pipelines and associated infrastructure
Workshop and field-based mechanical works including pump, valve and pipework removal and installation.
Planned preventative maintenance, inspections and condition-based servicing of rotating equipment and mechanical assets.
Breakdown response and fault rectification to maintain critical water and wastewater operations.
Mechanical isolations, line breaking and component change-outs in accordance with SOP's and permit systems.
Lifting and rigging duties including dogging, use of crane trucks, mobile cranes, chain blocks and lifting equipment.
Confined space entry works and associated rescue and safety controls.
Assist with job planning, risk assessments (SWMS), permits and safe execution of high-risk work.
Work collaboratively with Electrical, Fabrication and Operations teams to deliver programmed and reactive works.
Participation in rostered on-call and overtime when required.
Successful candidates must have the following:
Mandatory:
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.
Detailed experience in machining, testing, repair and maintenance of mechanical infrastructure.
Current Confined Space ticket and Breathing Apparatus (BA).
Current Working at Heights ticket.
Current First Aid certificate.
Strong commitment to OH&S practices and safe systems of work.
Competent in the use of computers and digital work management systems.
Preferred:
Experience using maintenance management systems (e.g. Maximo, SAP, Focus 3).
HR Truck Licence.
Dogman Licence.
Understanding of environmental compliance within utilities or industrial environments.
