An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced National Service Manager to lead and support a nationwide automotive service network in Papua New Guinea. This senior leadership role will oversee service and panel operations across multiple dealerships, ensuring operational excellence, strong customer retention, and the achievement of national profitability targets. The position plays a critical role in supporting dealership Service and Panel Managers, driving service performance, and strengthening the overall service offering across the network. The successful candidate will provide both technical and operational leadership, while working closely with dealership teams to improve service delivery, implement national service standards, and support ongoing business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and strategic oversight of national service and panel operations
Support dealership Service and Panel Managers to improve operational performance and customer satisfaction
Drive service growth initiatives, marketing campaigns, and customer retention strategies
Oversee service budgets, pricing strategies, and cost control initiatives
Coordinate national fleet service contracts in conjunction with the sales and dealer network
Ensure operational compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations
Implement service management systems, accreditation programs, and warranty processes
Manage tooling, equipment procurement, and capital expenditure proposals
Lead, mentor, and develop service teams across the national dealer network
Work closely with internal stakeholders and regional partners to ensure service standards are consistently maintained across the network.
Skills & Experience
5–10+ years’ experience in automotive service management or dealership operations
Proven experience leading service teams within a multi-branch or dealer network environment
Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing service budgets and profitability
Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team development skills
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret operational data and drive performance improvements
Experience working with dealer management systems and service reporting tools
Degree in Business Management, Automotive Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
