Fixed Operations Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fixed Operations Manager to lead and optimise the service operations of a large automotive dealership environment in Papua New Guinea. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence across service, workshop, parts, and aftersales functions while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
The role requires a hands-on leader who can build strong teams, implement best practice service processes, and drive continuous improvement across dealership operations.
The Opportunity
As the Fixed Operations Manager, you will oversee the overall performance of service operations within the dealership. You will play a key role in ensuring service standards, operational processes, and customer experience align with strategic business objectives. Working closely with senior leadership, you will lead a team across workshop, service, panel, and tyre operations while implementing best practice systems, driving productivity, and ensuring financial targets are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all fixed operations including service workshop, aftersales and related operational functions
- Drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction across all service delivery activities
- Manage service budgets, cost control and departmental expenditure
- Ensure effective warranty management and compliance with operational procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and supply availability for service consumables and parts
- Analyse competitor pricing and market trends to optimise service labour rates and profitability
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives including lean practices and operational efficiencies
- Drive employee engagement and ensure departmental KPIs are achieved
Strengthen quality systems to enhance customer experience and service performance - Develop, mentor and coach service teams to build capability and succession pipelines
- Lead safety initiatives and ensure workplace safety standards are maintained

Skills & Experience
- Extensive leadership experience within automotive dealership operations
- Minimum 10–15 years' experience across automotive service or related disciplines
- Strong commercial and financial management capability
- Proven ability to drive operational improvements and service performance
- Experience managing budgets, operational costs and departmental KPIs
- Excellent leadership, mentoring and team development skills
- Strong customer engagement and relationship management ability
- Strategic thinking with the ability to analyse operational data and implement improvements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
