Supply Chain Analyst (Finance) Location: Lae, Papua New Guinea
About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a Cost Accountant to join a well-established manufacturing and distribution operation based in Lae. This role sits within the Finance function and plays a critical part in production costing, inventory control, supply chain analysis, and financial reporting.
The position will suit a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working closely with production, warehouse, and supply chain teams to deliver accurate cost insights and operational reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Cost Accountant across core finance and costing activities
Analyse production, supply chain, and warehouse processes
Monitor inventory write-offs and support bi-annual / annual stock counts
Ensure batch cards and production orders are completed and audited on time
Monitor production trials and rework, including cost impact
Prepare and analyse variable cost actuals vs budget
Participate in quarterly variable cost review meetings
Prepare finance and cost reports for submission to offshore stakeholders
Assist with customs, internal, and external audit requirements

Inventory Write-Off and Accuracy Reports
Reworked Production Orders with cost analysis

About YouQualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy (essential)
CPA qualification (preferred)
Experience & Skills
Experience across end-to-end finance processes
Strong understanding of production costing
Experience using SAP or other ERP systems
Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
