A leading hospitality group is seeking an experienced and detail-driven Chief Accountant to oversee corporate accounting, financial reporting, and month-end consolidation across multiple business units. This is a key leadership role responsible for maintaining accurate ledgers, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and delivering high-quality financial insights that support senior management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Governance

• Prepare monthly management reporting, including variance analysis and financial position updates.
• Coordinate half-year and annual reporting, including audit preparation, audit liaison, and statutory accounts.
• Oversee general ledger integrity, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
• Ensure compliance with taxation, regulatory filings, and internal control requirements.

Operational Finance Leadership

• Lead and develop a team of accountants, ensuring strong performance and continuous improvement.
• Consolidate financial results across business units, including revenue, contribution, capex, and cashflow forecasts.
• Manage debtors ageing reviews, stocktake processes, purchase order controls, and payment approvals.

Business Support & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with senior executives, unit managers, bankers, suppliers, and customers.
• Provide financial insights, budgeting support, and analysis to guide operational and strategic decisions.
• Drive adherence to safety, quality, and organisational values.

About You

• Degree in Accounting with CPA qualification.
• Strong capability in financial reporting, audit preparation, and accounting system proficiency (e.g., Pronto).
• Minimum 3–5 years in senior accounting roles, preferably within a multi-unit environment.
• High attention to detail, deadline-driven, and able to interpret and analyse P&L performance.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-cultural environments.
