Job Advert: Financial Controller - Business Unit Reporting

A unique senior finance leadership opportunity has become available for an experienced Financial Controller to lead the end-to-end financial stewardship of a growing Business Unit. This role is responsible for full financial control, statutory and management reporting, tax compliance, and insightful business partnering to support strategic decision-making.
This is a highly visible senior role, reporting directly to the Group CFO, with responsibility for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial results, as well as providing financial insights that support operational excellence and the long-term strategic direction of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Control & Month-End Close
- Lead and execute full month-end and year-end close activities
- Maintain complete integrity of the General Ledger and reconciliations
- Oversee intercompany transactions and internal control frameworks
Financial & Statutory Reporting - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Produce financial commentary and performance insights
- Lead Board reporting and present financial analysis
- Manage the external audit process
Tax Management & Regulatory Compliance - Oversee all tax matters, returns, and submissions
- Lead tax audits and manage regulatory interactions
- Ensure compliance with local statutory reporting requirements
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis - Support budgeting and forecasting with accurate financial inputs
- Monitor performance against budget, explaining key drivers
Process Improvement & Systems - Identify and implement process improvements
- Champion ERP systems for data integrity and efficiency
- Support finance transformation initiatives
Leadership - Lead and develop a high-performing finance team
- Build a culture of continuous improvement and accountability

Who We're Looking For - Senior finance professional with proven experience in Financial Control
- Strong technical background in IFRS, audit, and statutory reporting
- Experience in regulated industries is an advantage
- Hands-on approach with a strategic mindset
- Skilled communicator able to present at Board level
- Proven leadership capability managing finance teams
