Role Purpose
The Senior Manager – Network Infrastructure is responsible for leading the network team in managing and supporting the organisation’s network infrastructure and communication systems. This role encompasses research, testing, implementation, and maintenance of network systems in line with industry best practices and internal ICT guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead research and innovation initiatives to ensure efficient network operations.
• Oversee first and second level support for all network incidents, maintenance, and related issues.
• Ensure a high standard of customer service through timely resolution of network problems via the ticketing system.
• Implement preventive maintenance and ensure compliance with ICT policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage configuration, backups, and application of standard templates to all network equipment.
• Monitor and manage network licensing, ensuring timely renewal or acquisition.
• Assess equipment needs and oversee supply, installation, and enhancement of services and systems.
• Develop and execute detailed plans for ICT change management during technology projects.
• Monitor SLA adherence and address any breaches in line with ICT standards.
• Maintain optimal network performance and availability through proactive monitoring.
• Liaise with service providers on network faults and produce regular utilisation reports.
• Oversee business continuity and disaster recovery processes, ensuring documentation is current.
• Optimise load balancing environments to manage traffic across servers.
• Conduct periodic self-assessments on network controls and follow up on emerging issues.

Key Relationships

• Internal: ICT division, business divisions, and support functions.
• External: Vendors, partners, and service providers.

Qualifications & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a business-related field.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA (Routing & Switching/Security) and CCNP (Routing & Switching).

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 5 years of ICT network experience, with at least 3 years in a senior management role with in a banking environment - Essential
• Proficiency in network types (LAN/WAN) and firewalls (Fortinet, FortiClient, Check Point, Cisco ASA).
• Strong background in network configuration, troubleshooting, and change management.
• Proven experience delivering technology change initiatives and managing IT performance.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
• Project management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Commitment to governance, integrity, and ethical practices.
