Head of Finance
Location: Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea
Sector: FMCG / Manufacturing / Agribusiness

We are partnering with a leading and fast-growing food manufacturing and agribusiness company in Papua New Guinea to appoint a commercially astute Head of Finance.

This is a key leadership role suited to a dynamic finance professional with strong operational insight and experience in the FMCG or manufacturing sector.
As part of the executive team, the Head of Finance will lead all financial operations, partner with the General Manager, and support strategic decision-making during a time of growth and transformation. You will oversee financial reporting, planning, product costing, inventory management, and cash flow while mentoring a large finance team and ensuring system and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Deliver accurate board reporting and performance insights.
• Oversee product costing, inventory control, and manufacturing finance.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and FX exposure.
• Ensure tax, audit, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive ERP (Syspro) optimisation across finance and operations.
• Develop and lead a finance team of up to 15 professionals.

What We’re Looking For:

• 10–15 years of experience in finance leadership roles within FMCG, manufacturing, or agribusiness.
• Strong expertise in product costing and operational finance in a production environment.
• CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building experience.
• Proficiency with ERP systems; Syspro experience is advantageous.
• Experience working in remote, regional, or developing markets is desirable.
