Are you an experienced Treasury professional seeking a new challenge? Our client, a prominent financial institution, is looking for a Head of Treasury to manage and optimise their balance sheet, liquidity, and risk management functions.

This senior leadership role requires a strategic thinker with technical expertise to drive profitability while ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining a robust risk management framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Liquidity & Funding Management:
  Develop and implement strategies to ensure adequate liquidity, oversee daily cash flow, and comply with regulatory requirements, including the Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR).
• Foreign Exchange & Interest Rate Management:
  Manage FX positions, execute interest rate risk strategies, and optimise net interest income through effective asset-liability management.
• Investment & Asset Management:
  Lead the development of investment strategies for the bank’s portfolio, focusing on fixed-income and government securities, while staying abreast of market trends to adjust as needed.
• Capital & Balance Sheet Optimisation:
  Support compliance with regulatory capital adequacy requirements, manage debt issuance, and oversee stress testing and risk planning initiatives.
• Compliance & Risk Management:
  Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks and internal controls, implementing robust policies to mitigate operational and financial risks.
• Leadership & Team Development:
  Mentor and lead the treasury team, fostering a high-performance culture and aligning strategies with organisational objectives.

Key Requirements

• Experience:
  Extensive experience in senior treasury or financial management roles within the banking or financial services sector.
  Proven expertise in asset-liability management, FX trading, and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., Basel III).
• Skills:
  Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making skills.
  Proficiency in treasury systems and financial modelling tools.
• Education:
  Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CTP) are highly regarded.
