Making Water Safer
With branches in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin, the FILTEC team collectively Make Water Safer by designing, installing, and maintaining treatment systems. With over 30 years of experience building and servicing hundreds of water treatment plants, we service both the public and private sectors throughout New Zealand, making us the most capable company in the sector. As the rollout of new technologies and water sector regulation gains momentum, it's the perfect time to join our family.
As part of this role, you’ll gain specialist experience maintaining and optimising ultraviolet (UV) disinfection systems — an increasingly vital technology for ensuring safe, compliant, and sustainable drinking water. You’ll work with industry-leading UV reactors, learning to diagnose performance issues, service key components, and ensure reliable operation in line with regulatory standards.
Working With The Best
Based in Wellington (or within a 30-minute to 1-hour drive), this role supports our Central Region, which spans from the top of the South Island through to halfway up the North Island, from New Plymouth across to Hawke's Bay, providing hands-on service and technical support to our customers across this area.
Travel within the region will be expected, and the position involves regular overnight stays in various locations. You will become increasingly autonomous as your skills and knowledge develop, and you must be comfortable working safely and unsupervised.
For the right candidate, this position could develop into a Team Lead role. This leadership position would not carry direct line management responsibilities but plays an integral role in shaping the strategic direction of the central service team.
