We are animal protectors, carers, and advocates, and bring solace to the abandoned, surrendered, and injured. We offer shelter, education, veterinary care and compassion, while helping animals in need find loving 'furever' homes.
 

We are seeking to recruit a Part-Time (Weekends Only) Animal Care Officer (Animal Attendant) to join our team at the Rutherford Shelter.

The role involves providing high-quality animal husbandry, implementing behavioural initiatives, and delivering enrichment and care for a wide range of animals — from dogs, cats, and small animals to livestock. Candidates should bring prior experience in animal care and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.

The successful candidate must hold a valid working Visa and will be required to work weekends.

Certificate II Animal Care or equivalent, essential.
