As a
Customer Service Officer at RSPCA NSW, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, advice, and guidance to members of the public in relation to adoptions, surrenders, lost and found and stray intake. This role includes some animal handling, cleaning and animal care.
This position is Part-Time.

About the Role - Providing accurate and timely customer service and advice regarding animal care
- Coordinate the adoption and surrender process, ensuring that all required documentation is completed accurately
- Coordinate the intake process for stray, inspector and emergency boarding animals ensuring that all required documentation is completed accurately
- Facilitating the reclaim of animals ensuring that all required documentation is completed accurately
- Liaising with key stakeholders regarding animals in care including vets and councils
- Ensure that all animals received are tagged or otherwise appropriately identified
- Administration duties including daily banking and responding to customer enquires via phone or email
- Cleaning of animal enclosures and administer medications when required
About You It goes without saying that everyone working with RSPCA NSW loves animals, but those handling our nearest and dearest on a daily basis go that extra mile to ensure our animals receive all the love and care they deserve.
- Certificate II in Animal Handling desired, however not essential
- Unrestricted NSW driver's licence
- Demonstrated experience in a customer service environment
- Previous experience in animal handling, desirable
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to problem solve
- Work effectively and collaboratively within a team
- Strong computer literacy
- Resilience and able to bounce back after occasional setback
