Are you an experienced clinic Animal Attendant and want to join an organisation where their mission is to prevent animal cruelty and neglect? If this sounds like you, RSPCA NSW want you to join the team as Animal Attendant-clinic, on a full-time basis. You will be motivated, energetic, reliable and willing to undertake a range of Animal Attendant responsibilities, ensuring a high standard of animal care is maintained. The successful candidate will be required to work some weekends.

About the Role

• Moving animals from their cages to theatre, collecting animals from post theatre to recovery​
• Providing enrichment and exercise, feeding, observing animals for injury and illness, administering medication, assisting with veterinary examinations, checking animals for identification, grooming
• Assisting with euthanasia, providing basic first aid when required, cleaning and tidying of animal cage / enclosure, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and disease control throughout the shelter at all times

About You
You will have the confidence to interact with customers from all walks of life and possess the following:

• Certificate II Animal Studies or equivalent experience essential
• Previous animal handling skills
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to interpret medical information and administer medication
• The ability to work rotating rosters including weekends and public holidays
• Initiative and ability to prioritise
• Good organisational skills 
• Team player 
• Excellent attention to detail
• Resilience – the ability to bounce back from occasional setback
