Are you a thorough, reliable cleaner who genuinely cares about making a difference in the lives of seniors? We are seeking an empathetic and experienced In-Home Domestic Assistant to support our elderly clients living independently in their own homes in Palm Beach area and surroundings suburbs.

Unlike a rigid commercial environment, this role allows you to build trusted, long-term relationships with clients. Your primary focus will be delivering high-quality domestic cleaning services while providing friendly, respectful social interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• General Housekeeping: Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning kitchens, and thorough sanitisation of bathrooms/toilets.
• Laundry Assistance: Changing bed linens, washing, hanging out, and folding clothes.
• Basic Meal Prep: Assisting with light meal preparation or washing dishes when required.
• Safe Working Practices: Strictly adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a safe domestic environment.
• Client Care: Delivering compassionate assistance and reporting any noticeable changes in a client’s physical or mental well-being.

Mandatory Selection Criteria

In order to be considered for the role, you must have:

• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in residential cleaning or domestic care.
• Valid open Queensland Driver’s Licence and a reliable, fully insured personal vehicle (essential for traveling between clients).
• A current National Police Certificate (issued within the last 3 months) free of disqualifying offenses.
• A smartphone and the ability to comfortably operate client roster and time-logging apps. 

This role involves manual domestic tasks. Candidates must have the physical capacity to safely perform repetitive bending, kneeling, lifting light household equipment (such as vacuum cleaners), and standing for extended periods. Successful applicants may be required to pass a pre-employment functional assessment. 

Desirable Criteria

• CPP30321 Certificate III in Cleaning Operations or Certificate III in Individual Support. 
• Completed training in Infection Control and Sanitisation. 
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
