We have a full-time volume of work available in our bookkeeping and accounts function and are flexible about how we fill it. Whether you are looking for full-time hours or a part-time arrangement that fits your life, we want to hear from you. This is a permanent onsite role based at our Miami, Gold Coast office - we are open to one full-time hire or a job share between two part-time candidates.
Reporting to our contracted CFO and General Manager, you will be the backbone of our day-to-day financial operations — keeping accounts accurate, reconciliations clean, payroll running smoothly, and data ready for the CFO and external accountant at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile all bank accounts weekly; resolve discrepancies promptly; maintain audit-ready records
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process supplier invoices and payments; match revenue receipts to invoices; manage debtor and creditor ledgers
- Payroll: Oversee fortnightly automated payroll; resolve discrepancies within the same pay cycle; maintain accurate records
- HCP Claims & Revenue: Process Home Care Package claims; reconcile revenue bank transactions weekly against claims
- Client Contribution Invoicing: Generate and issue client contribution invoices each billing cycle; follow up outstanding payments
- Credit Card & Expenses: Reconcile all staff credit card and expense claims monthly; ensure correct GST coding
- External Accountant Readiness: Collate and prepare all financial data for the external accountant each period; ensure submissions are complete and on time
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Prepare monthly transaction summary and revenue breakdown for the CFO; flag anomalies and trends
About You: You are a meticulous, self-directed finance professional who takes pride in the accuracy of your work. You understand that clean books are the foundation of a well-run organisation — and you bring that mindset to everything you do.
You are comfortable working independently within structured deadlines, collaborating with a contracted CFO and external accountant, and managing a varied workload across payroll, claims, reconciliation, and client invoicing. You thrive knowing that behind every number is a team delivering real care to real people every day.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in bookkeeping or accounts reconciliation
- Proficiency in MYOB, Xero, or equivalent accounting software
- Hands-on experience in bank reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Experience processing fortnightly automated payroll
- Solid understanding of GST, tax coding, and chart of accounts
- Experience with invoicing and debtor follow-up
- High attention to detail and ability to meet recurring deadlines independently
- Professional communication skills for liaison with CFO and external accountant
Desirable Skills & Attributes: - Experience in aged care, home care, disability, or community health services
- Familiarity with Home Care Package (HCP) claims and government portal processing
- Knowledge of SCHADS Award payroll obligations
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting (or working towards)
- Experience preparing data packs for external accountants
