The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Cloud Engineer with a strong focus on solution architecture to join our delivery team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising scalable, secure, and high‑performing cloud solutions on AWS.

In this role, you will work closely with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, contribute to cloud strategy, and provide technical leadership across project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and secure AWS cloud architectures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solution designs.
• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Monitor, optimise, and tune cloud environments to ensure performance, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
• Implement cloud security best practices, governance controls, and compliance measures.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior engineers and team members.
• Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to enterprise and cloud strategy initiatives.
• Stay current with emerging AWS services and industry trends to continuously improve cloud solutions.

What You’ll Need

• Proven experience in solution architecture within AWS environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Experience building and managing environments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts, security protocols, and best practices.
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for cloud‑based applications.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
