A Residential Service Manager is a leadership-focused role where you’ll have the autonomy to drive performance, nurture culture, and inspire excellence, all while being backed by a supportive executive team that genuinely invests in its people.
About the Role: This role is both people-focused and strategically important, you’ll be responsible for the overall management and success of the service, ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality care while also leading staff, managing resources, and driving operational performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and inspiring a committed care and support team
- Driving a culture of respect, compassion, and continuous improvement
- Overseeing care governance, resident experience, and compliance with aged care standards
- Support strategic workforce planning and recruitment to ensure the right people are in the right roles at the right time
- Provide effective HR leadership across performance management, employee engagement, and workplace relations to foster a positive and compliant work environment
- Managing financial performance and ensuring operational efficiency
- Building strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and the wider community
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring: - A minimum 3 years’ management experience in residential aged care
- A proven ability to balance care, compliance, and commercial outcomes
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to support, develop, and inspire your team
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Strong understanding of the new Strengthened Aged Care Standards
- A genuine passion for person-centred aged care
Checks and Registrations: - Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Full working rights in Australia
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Human Resources, or a related discipline will be highly regarded
