About the job
  
An established national law firm is seeking a 3–5 PQE Associate or early-stage Senior Associate to join its Sydney-based insurance practice, specialising in strata-related litigation.
  
This role offers exposure to a steady pipeline of insurer-side work within a collaborative and well-supported team environment, making it an excellent opportunity to further develop technical expertise in a growing niche area.
  
Responsibilities
  

• Managing a portfolio of strata insurance litigation matters from inception through to resolution;
• Preparing legal advice and reviewing case materials;
• Drafting court documents, pleadings, and evidentiary material;
• Liaising directly with clients, insurers, and external stakeholders;
• Handling correspondence and negotiations with other parties;
• Appearing in the Local Court where required; and
• Maintaining strong file management and progressing matters efficiently.

  
Requirements
  

• 3–5 years’ post-admission experience in litigation;
• Exposure to insurance or defendant litigation is advantageous but not essential;
• Strong drafting and analytical skills;
• Confident communicator with a client-focused approach;
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines;
• High attention to detail and strong organisational capability;
• A proactive and team-oriented mindset.
