We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused professional to join a major Australian energy infrastructure business. This role will play a pivotal part in enhancing safety outcomes across electricity distribution networks and zone substations by acting as the critical link between field operations and the asset management function.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will:

• Serve as the key interface between field crews and the Electricity Network Asset Management team
• Ensure safety concerns are effectively captured, prioritised, and addressed
• Lead investigations into new equipment, materials, and work practices that can improve safety outcomes
• Facilitate the integration of field insights into asset standards, engineering designs, and risk assessments
• Strengthen proactive safety risk mitigation strategies across network infrastructure
• Split your time between on-site engagement (approx. 50%) and office-based analysis and collaboration (approx. 50%)

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Solid industry experience, ideally within electrical utilities or network distribution environments
• A strong safety-first mindset with hands-on experience operating in high-voltage or electrical settings
• Proven ability to build trust and rapport with both field-based and office-based personnel
• Expertise in risk assessment and risk management frameworks
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering (Electrical Engineering with Chartered accreditation highly regarded)
