Group Finance Manager
  
About the role

We are looking for a very structured,  innovative and experienced finance leader to lead a large team and drive excellence within our support function.  You will provide hands on organisational leadership to the Finance, Payroll and Office Management Teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the Finance, Payroll, Darwin Support Office Administration departments with a team of approx. 45 staff
• Lead, develop and empower sub-department managers
• Lead the quarterly financial reviews and annual budget development function for the organisation
• Forecast workload and staffing needs; and recruit adequate numbers of skilled team members to meet the needs of the areas of responsibility
• Work closely with the General Managers of each division to support new operational ideas and opportunities review with a big picture and financial lens
• Support the wider business on complex financial issues and provide advice and recommendations as matters arise
• Support and promote innovation through our highly skilled and knowledgeable Data and Analytics team
• Project management and identifying process weaknesses and implementing change and process improvement
• Be a champion of the ALPA values and demonstrate a commitment to work health and safety.
