Kitchen Supervisor – Galiwinku Miyalk Kitchen (RAES Program) Galiwinku, NT

The Galiwinku Miyalk Kitchen is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Supervisor to support the Kitchen and lead day‑to‑day kitchen operations as part of the Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES) program. This role plays a key part in creating meaningful employment and training opportunities for the local community while delivering high‑quality, nutritious meals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support kitchen and café staff.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and well‑stocked kitchen.
• Oversee equipment, facilities, and general kitchen upkeep.
• Manage catering contracts.
• Respond to contract feedback and submit monthly reports.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate procurement 

This position is based in Galiwinku, NT.

About You

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (desirable).
• Qualifications in human services, social services, hospitality, or community services (advantageous)
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience in kitchen or hospitality supervision.
• Confident cooking skills and ability to produce consistent, quality meals.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.
• Reliable, organised, and committed to community‑focused service.
• Highly effective interpersonal skills, including clear written and verbal communication across diverse backgrounds.
