Support the implementation of the East Arnhem Land Youth Model with an emphasis on supporting Yolngu staff in four remote communities.
Empowering Yolŋu Youth, Led by Community
The East Arnhem Land Youth Model Program is a unique, community-led venture transforming youth development in East Arnhem Land. Backed by ALPA, the NT Government, and NIAA, the model operates in Gapuwiyak, Galiwin’ku, Ramingining, and Milingimbi and puts decision-making back in the hands of Yolŋu leaders.
This isn’t just a youth program - it’s an initiative to build local capacity and empower clans to shape the future. Local leadership groups meet regularly to design and fund activities that help young people grow up strong, connected, and proud.
About the Role
This role will work alongside Yolŋu leaders - not with children or youth directly, to co-create meaningful programs for youth across communities and homelands and support the overall implementation of the East Arnhem Land Youth Model operationally. You will support & mentor local Yolngu staff in two remote communities.
Please note: Travel required to community is a minimum of 2 weeks per month.
