About the Role 
As our Operations Manager for Training and Education, you'll oversee a dynamic team of Travelling Workplace Trainers, including two dedicated Training Team Leads. You'll ensure top-notch compliance and exceptional training delivery across our CDP, Fee for Service, VET in Schools, and Indigenous Skills Employment programs.
This newly created role is all about driving excellence in training and workforce development, making a real impact on participant success and community growth.

If you have a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or successor qualification) and an understanding of RTO operations, ASQA standards, the VET Quality Framework, and higher education compliance, then we would love to hear from you!
  

Responsibilities
Operations

• Ensure all training programs comply with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Maintain and enhance the quality of training delivery.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage educators.
• Write and manage contracts and grants for funding.
• Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including training providers and industry experts.
• Continuously improve training processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collect and analyse trainee feedback to improve training content.
• Tailor training programs to individual student needs and learning styles.

People

• Provide direction, mentorship, and motivation to staff, fostering high performance and alignment with ALPA’s values.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff for accredited and non-accredited programs.
• Cultivate positive relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders, focusing on Indigenous communities.
• Engage with internal stakeholders to align training with organizational goals.
• Implement regular feedback and performance reviews.
• Use data-driven metrics to assess and improve employee performance.
• Facilitate team meetings and activities to build strong relationships and community.

  
  
  
About You

• In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the VET sector.
• Effective management & people leadership skills to oversee daily operations and ensure smooth functioning.
• Ability to ensure all training programs meet accreditation and regulatory standards.
• Proficiency in using technology and data management systems to enhance operations.
• Strong networking skills to collaborate with industry partners, regulatory bodies, and community organizations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and find innovative solutions.
• Understanding and respect for diverse cultural backgrounds, particularly in Indigenous and community programs.
