THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are currently recruiting for an Area Manager to oversee employment, training and community development programs, activities and service delivery across multiple sites in regional QLD for the Central West QLD region.

This role is based in Longreach with travel to surrounding communities. 

This role involves the strategic and operational oversight, management, and support for the service delivery of the government funded Employment Services contract (RAES) and programs that the organisation delivers in the region and in each community.

Current priorities in this role includes leadership of an employment region, people management, business development, community engagement and partnerships, driving team performance and ensuring effective delivery of services for clients and participants.

RELEVANT SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 

• Proven, current or recent, experience working within the Employment Services or Community Development sector will be highly regarded, particularly with experience in remote or regional communities – transferable skills from complementary sectors may also be considered. 
• Multi-site and team management experience is vital to this role, we are looking for someone who can inspire and lead a team successfully within a government-funded contract sector environment. 
• The ability to work towards regular KPIs, financial targets and budgets consistently.  
• Business development, case management and experience working directly with clients and supporting staff with these activities.  
• Networking, community engagement, and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders, in particular in community, to develop key partnerships and activities.
• Highly developed reporting, compliance management, and contract management experience.
• Experience in strategic and operational management and oversight of service delivery of government funded contracts will be highly regarded. 
• Keen organisational and communication skills.  

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 

• This is a full time permanent role for the length of the government funded contract. 
• Ideally, we are looking for candidates with experience in managing and delivering RAES, CDP, Employment Services or similar contracts or programs in regional or remote areas.
• The annual salary package for this role is made up of base salary + super, please inquire to discuss full package inclusions further.
