Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland provides high-quality provision of care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, which stretches from Ingham in the North, Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West and Palm Island to the East.

About the position 
Good Shepherd Outside School Hours Care (OSHC), Rasmussen is a community out of school hours care - providing a tranquil learning facility in the heart of the Upper Ross area of Townsville. Offering an extension of the school day, our service delivers before, after school care and vacation care for the busy families in the local community.

We are seeking a dedicated Coordinator to lead the operation of our OSHC on a full time permanent basis working 38 hours per week commencing 18 May 2026 or as soon as practical. This service operates year-round, with a two-week closure over Christmas, and is open from 6.30am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.

You will join a supportive environment where you can manage and mentor a team of Educators and help guide the service’s development to meet local needs, supported by your 2IC, Business Operations Consultant, and MMCNQ specialists.

What We’re Looking For:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification 
• A current Paid Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Current First Aid Certificate including CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training, or willingness to obtain these certifications
• Understanding and knowledge of National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place Framework
• Passion and dedication to provide the highest standard of care for our children and families
