Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland provides high-quality provision of care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, which stretches from Ingham in the North, Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West and Palm Island to the East. We have grown to include 6 Early Learning Centres, 9 Kindergartens and 14 Outside School Hours Care centres.
  
About the position
St Benedict’s Kindergarten, Shaw provides the foundation for children to develop socially and educationally in a safe and nurturing environment. St Benedict’s Kindergarten operates with two large spaces and a shared playground, where the children can have access to an engaging, explorative and playful learning environment.

We are seeking applications for a passionate and creative Kindergarten Teacher to commence on a full-time basis working 38 hours per week and commencing as soon as practical. Hours required at the service are from 8.00am-3.00pm each day.

As the Kindergarten Teacher, you will develop and implement a Kindergarten program that is based on recognised and current Early Childhood philosophies. This program will be delivered in a developmentally appropriate, healthy, safe and positive environment in a manner consistent with the Vision, Mission and Values of MMCNQ Child Care Services.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• ACECQA approved qualifications in Teaching/Early Childhood Education or near completion 
• Current Queensland College of Teachers registration (if applicable)
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Current First Aid Certificate Including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis or ability to obtain before commencement
• Ability to pass a National Criminal History Check
• Understanding and knowledge of National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place Framework
• Ability to learn new systems and child care management software
