Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland provides high-quality provision of care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, which stretches from Ingham in the North, to Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West and Palm Island to the East.

About the Position
St Catherine's Kindergarten and St Catherine's OSHC in Proserpine are two well-established and dedicated care services, proudly supporting families across the wider Whitsunday region. Nestled in one of Australia’s most picturesque locations, St Catherine’s provides nurturing care and early education for children from Kindergarten age through to older students in Outside School Hours Care (OSHC).

We are currently seeking a Diploma-qualified (or working towards) Casual Educator to join our enthusiastic and supportive team at St Catherine's OSHC. This position is available for an immediate start and offers flexible casual shifts between the hours of 7:00am and 6:00pm, with the opportunity for additional hours at the Kindergarten.

In addition to core educator duties, this role also includes responsibilities as the Educational Leader, attracting an additional allowance of over $4,000 per annum in recognition of this leadership position.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Diploma (completed, or working towards) in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (Education Support, studying Bachelor of Education or similar qualifications approved under ACECQA)
• Understanding and knowledge of My Time Our Place Framework
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Current First Aid Certificate Including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis or ability to obtain before commencement
• The ability to work effectively in a close-knit team environment
