Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland provides high-quality provision of care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, which stretches from Ingham in the North, Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West and Palm Island to the East. We have grown to include 6 Early Learning Centres, 9 Kindergartens and 14 Outside School Hours Care centres.

St. Catherine’s Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Proserpine works closely with the school community to provide an engaging, interactive, and educational after-school care service that extends each school day. While not the largest facility, the St. Catherine’s team ensures the service remains a welcoming, family-friendly environment where the door is always open.

St. Catherine's is seeking a Diploma-qualified Educator for a permanent part-time position, offering 30 hours per week. The role includes split shifts and responsibilities as the Educational Leader, with an additional allowance of over $4,000 per annum for this leadership role.

A thorough understanding of the My Time, Our Place framework is essential to guide other educators in their planning and reflection, as well as mentor colleagues in implementing best practices. 
 
What you’ll need to succeed:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (Education Support, studying Bachelor of Education or similar qualifications approved under ACECQA)
• Current Children Check (Blue Card)
• Current First Aid Certificate Including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis or ability to obtain before commencement
• Understanding and knowledge of National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place Framework
• Ability to learn new systems and child care management software
